About FACULTY Writes

FACULTY Writes is the faculty branch of CSU Writes that organizes workshops, facilitates writing groups, and offers writing retreats for faculty. Research shows that faculty who develop a writing practice that promotes work-life balance, who participate in writing groups, and who frequently refresh their writing skills produce more pages and publications each year—nearly 10 times the number of published pages than faculty who write on their own or binge write to meet deadlines! Consider what increasing your yearly writing output by a factor of 10 might mean to the quality of your scholarship and your professional life. Helping you do that is what FACULTY Writes is about.
Faculty who have participated in CSU Writes events have said... "I just emailed our grad students with a glowing report on the Saturday workshop and lots of encouragement for them to attend Show Up and Write and register for the writing workshops!" "CSU Writes transformed my writing practice. I have a more positive attitude toward writing, strategies to keep me motivated, and I am part of a positive and inspiring writing group. Thank you!!!"

If you are interested in attending a FACULTY Writes event, see the 2016-17 CALENDAR.

Check out the Workshop Offerings. Workshops address the common challenges faculty face when sitting down to write: Space, Time, Energy/Motivation, and Academic Style.

You may RSVP for an workshop on the Workshop page.
