Weekend Writing Retreat
Academic writing retreats have been shown to help writers to focus better and to produce more than they typically write on their own.
This weekend writing retreat offers graduate students an early-semester opportunity to begin spring semester projects.
The Friday, 3-5pm, session includes information about scheduling, getting the most out of your writing retreat, and writing productivity. If you have not attended a CSU Writes writing retreat, plan to attend the Friday afternoon session. The Friday session is optional for ONLY those graduate student writers who have already attended CSU Writes retreats and/or scheduling sessions.
Saturday includes a full day of writing with scheduled lunch and conversation times. Sunday includes a 3-hour morning writing session only.
Spring semester retreats are held on campus. Each retreat location will be confirmed in a retreat information email (generally, one week prior to the event.)
To attend, complete a GRAD WritesRetreat Attendance Form at: https://csuwrites.colostate.edu/intensive-writing-retreats/
Fresh fruit, snacks, and coffee/tea provided.
GRAD Writesretreats are capped at 20 participants. Popular retreats will generate a waitlist.
