This workshop provides participants with strategies to identify and methods to use their “critical” thoughts to their advantage. Academics seem to be natural critics, but we must channel that critical skill into editing our writing rather than our sense of who we are as scholarly writers. Inspired by Dr. Joli Jensen’s writing on identifying the beliefs that often undermine and stall academic writers, this workshop encourages participants to “Invite their Daemons in for Tea” so that they might write more quickly and with greater confidence and ease. (Tea provided)
