EDITING GROUPS are designed for graduate student writers who have a draft of a manuscript that they will submit for publication or for degree completion this semester.

If you have a 20- to 30-page draft of an article, thesis, or dissertation chapter you are preparing for submission, this editing group can offer timely assistance.

The sessions will cover manuscript editing and proofreading methods and will include feedback from participants.

FALL 2019 groups meet weekly for 4-5 weeks, depending on the needs of the participants. (5 sessions)

Upcoming Editing Group, starts early September 2019

Participants can expect to:

  • receive and give feedback to at least one other editing group participant
  • meet weekly (90-minutes sessions)
  • edit manuscripts for improved structure and organization
  • edit manuscripts for clarity of sentences and meaning

Clarifying Note: This editing work group will NOT cover Graduate School submission guidelines for thesis or dissertations. For that information, please go to the Graduate School information page.

What GRAD Editing Group Participants Have Said:

"I needed to finish editing my manuscript and this group gave me more deadlines to achieve my goals. I was at a loss editing my manuscript by myself. Thank you so much...".
