Grad Feedback Groups

Feedback Groups are designed for graduate student writers who have a draft of a manuscript that they will submit for publication or for degree completion this semester.

GROUP #1: February 1 -26

GROUP #2: March 8 - April 2

If you have a 20- to 30-page draft of an article, thesis, or dissertation chapter you are preparing for submission, a facilitated feedback group can offer timely assistance.

The sessions will cover manuscript editing and proofreading methods and will include feedback from participants.

Spring 2021 groups are facilitated by Kira Marshall-McKelvey, CSU Writes facilitator and doctoral student of Communication Studies.

FEEDBACK GROUPS meet weekly for 4 weeks.

Participants can expect to:

  • receive and give feedback to at least one other editing group participant
  • meet weekly (90-minutes sessions on MSTeams)
  • edit manuscripts for improved structure and organization
  • edit manuscripts for clarity of sentences and meaning

Clarifying Note: This editing work group will NOT cover Graduate School submission guidelines for thesis or dissertations. For that information, please go to the Graduate School information page.

GRAD Feedback Groups Request

  • 30 page maximum
